The forms and the directions below are pdf documents and require that you have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. If you don't have Acrobat Reader or don't know what it is, please click here.
Donate an instrument
See your brass, reed, string, or percussion instrument help children learn and appreciate music. Donated instruments are thoroughly evaluated and each playable instrument benefits a student. Repairable instruments are fixed and placed in the hands of a student or among the traveling instruments. You may be eligible for a tax deduction as you convert an asset to a benefit for others.
For information about donating an instrument, contact notes@music-foundation.org.
Make a contribution
All donations are gratefully accepted and are tax deductible. Annual donors of $100 or more may be enrolled in the Century Club if they wish. Those funds are deposited in The Music Foundation's endowment fund. Donations under $100 are used to purchase, repair, and maintain instruments and to provide scholarships and grants to students and families that can not afford instruments or lessons.

PDF Files
PDF (Portable Document Format) is an internet format that allows any computer operating system (Windows, Mac, Unix, Linux, and more) using any browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL, and more) to print and/or read a document so it looks the same regardless of what system or browser is being used. The format was developed by Adobe Systems Incorporated.
You need special software to create and to read pdf files. Most newer computers already have the necessary software installed. Look for Acrobat Reader on your computer.
If you don't already have Acrobat Reader, the good news is that it is FREE. All you have to do is download it. Click on the box below to go to the Adobe site. Then, follow the instructions to download and install the version you need for your computer.
After Acrobat Reader is installed on your computer, click the link you want. You won't see anything on your monitor, but you should get a little dialogue box that says the file is being downloaded onto your computer (hint: make a note where it's being saved on your computer so you can find it later!).
Once the file has been downloaded to your computer, you don't need to be connected to the internet to read it. Open the desired file (usually by double-clicking) and if everything worked the way it was supposed to, Acrobat Reader will automatically come in and open the file. You can then read and/or print it at your leisure.
NOTE: Acrobat Reader must be installed on a computer; it will not work with non-computer internet connections such as webtv. If you have such a connection, please contact The Music Foundation and request that a copy of the form be mailed to you.
